History of MOI
The establishment of the CentralEastern Europe - Institute at the end of 2006 was an expression
of understanding that awareness-raising of this region is limited.
Organizations, businesses, chambers of commerce and industry and political
institutions of the Metropolitan Region Rhine-Neckar GmbH were convinced that
there was a need to develop the knowledge about this area by basic teaching,
further education, applied research and building of (regional) networks.
The Institute was confirmed as an In-Institute at the
University of Applied Sciences Ludwigshafen, School of Economics, by Council
and Senate of the University and is therefore entitled to conduct examinations
and award certificates. As the third component the MOI complements the triad of
the East Asia-Institute and the Transatlantic-Institute providing international
character of University. During the year 2007 the institute has started its
work.
